About Christian Rosary

Background

As a layperson with over 50 years of Christian growth, I share my diverse denominational background to shed light on the seemingly blended "Christian Rosary" presented here. Raised Lutheran (ELCA), I drew heavily on Lutheran rosary variations while researching this concept. My faith journey also involved significant involvement with the Evangelical Free Church of America (EFCA), including theology classes, men's groups, and conferences. Additionally, in recent years, I've been influenced by local Catholic men's groups and annual silent retreats at Cloisters on the Platte, exploring St. Ignatius's Spiritual Exercises.

This "Christian Rosary" resource builds upon "How to Pray the Lutheran Rosary." My modifications include using the NIV for scripture references and opting for "Meditations" instead of "Mysteries" to encourage deeper contemplation during each decade. In the fourth decade of the Glorious Meditations, The Assumption of Mary, I replaced the Catholic Catechism reference with a scripture passage that aligns with the concept without using direct Catholic ties.
