This site represents an important season in my faith journey. It began nearly fifteen years ago as a place to share my conversion story and the early steps of learning what it means to follow Jesus. Much of what you’ll find here reflects a season of discovery with books, sermons, resources, and ideas that helped shape my understanding of Scripture and the Christian faith.
Over time, my journey has continued to deepen. While learning and resources remain important, my focus has increasingly shifted toward relationship, formation, and living from the center of the Gospel itself—not just knowing about Jesus, but truly walking with Him.
That ongoing movement has found a new home at goodnews.jeverett.org.
That site reflects the next step in my journey... a deeper apprenticeship to Jesus marked by prayer, presence, sustainable rhythms, and life shaped by the Good News of who He is and what He has done.
This site remains part of the story. The journey continues.
If you’re interested in where that journey is leading now, you’re warmly invited to visit:
Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?
Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’"
Be still in the presence of the LORD, and wait patiently for him to act. Don’t worry about evil people who prosper or fret about their wicked schemes.
He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.
I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Our faith journey should include community and sharing the love of Christ with others. I believe that includes spending time with those you love and pouring into them the same way God pours into us.
