Salvation

The Problem: All Have Sinned

Romans 3:23 - For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

Salvation begins with the recognition that all people are sinners and are unable to meet God’s perfect standard on their own.

The Consequence: Sin Brings Death

Romans 6:23 - For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Sin leads to spiritual death and eternal separation from God, but He offers the free gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ.

The Solution: Christ Died for Us

Romans 5:8 - But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Even though we are sinners, God’s love made a way—Christ took our punishment on the cross, offering redemption and forgiveness through His blood (Ephesians 1:7).

The Response: Believe and Confess

Romans 10:9 - If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

Salvation comes not through works but through faith in Jesus Christ (Romans 3:22). Those who believe in Him are saved and no longer face condemnation (Romans 8:1).

The Result: Peace and New Life in Christ

Romans 5:1 - Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Colossians 3:1 - If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.

Through salvation, believers receive peace with God, a new identity in Christ, and the hope of eternal life.

The Promise: Nothing Can Separate Us from God’s Love

Romans 8:38-39 - For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers... will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Once saved, we have eternal security in Christ and can live with the assurance that God’s love will never leave us.

Our Response: Give Thanks and Live for Him

Thanks be to God!
Romans 6:17, Romans 7:25, 1 Corinthians 15:57, 2 Corinthians 2:14, 9:15, 1 Thessalonians 1:2, 2 Thessalonians 2:13

As we walk in salvation, our response should be one of gratitude, faithfulness, and a desire to seek God’s will.
