Statement of Faith

What I Believe

God

I believe there is one God who created everything. He is holy, perfect, and exists forever in a loving relationship of three Persons: the Father, the Son (Jesus), and the Holy Spirit. God knows everything and is all-powerful. He has always had a plan to save people and make everything new, all for His glory.

The Bible

I believe the Bible is God’s love letter to us. It includes the Old and New Testaments, written by people inspired by God. The Bible is completely true and trustworthy. It shows us the way to salvation and is the ultimate guide for how we should live. I believe what it says, follow what it teaches, and trust the promises it makes.

People and Sin

I believe God made the first humans, Adam and Eve, in His image, but they sinned when they disobeyed Him. Because of their sin, all people are born with a sinful nature and make choices that separate them from God. Only Jesus Christ can save us, bring us back to God, and make us new.

Jesus Christ

I believe Jesus is both fully God and fully human. He is the Savior God promised. He was born of the virgin Mary through the Holy Spirit, lived a perfect life, and died on the cross for our sins. He came back to life, ascended into heaven, and now sits at God’s right hand as our defender and friend.

What Jesus Did for Us

I believe Jesus took our place when He died on the cross, paying the price for our sins. His death and resurrection are the only way we can be forgiven and saved.

The Holy Spirit

I believe the Holy Spirit helps us understand and follow Jesus. He shows us our need for God, brings us into God’s family, and gives us strength to live in a way that honors God. The Spirit helps us grow, guides us, and equips us to serve others.

The Church

I believe the Church is made up of everyone who trusts in Jesus. Through the Holy Spirit, we are united as one body with Jesus as the head. Local churches are where believers come together to worship, grow in faith, and share God’s message. Jesus gave us two special ways to remember Him: baptism and the Lord’s Supper. These help us remember His sacrifice and encourage us, but they don’t save us.

How We Should Live

I believe God’s grace doesn’t just save us—it changes us. He calls us to love Him above everything and to love others in real, meaningful ways. This means caring for each other, helping those in need, and standing up for what’s right. With God’s Word, prayer, and the Holy Spirit’s help, we can fight against evil and live out our faith. Jesus also told us to share His message and make disciples everywhere.

Jesus Will Return

I believe Jesus will come back one day in a way everyone will see. We don’t know when, but it gives us hope and motivates us to live for Him, serve others, and share His message with the world.

Our Response and Eternity

I believe God calls everyone to turn to Him, trust Jesus, and believe the gospel. One day, God will bring all together and judge the world. Those who reject Him will face eternal separation, but those who trust in Jesus will have eternal joy with Him in a new heaven and earth.
